Do You Have a Dream?
We all dream! But, what do we do to achieve those dreams? Do they simply seem overwhelming and we don’t even take that first step or do we dive right in, get to work, and then somewhere down the road, run out of gas! The fact is that somewhere down the road your motivation may wane. It happens to everyone—energy dives, creatively leaves us, and we become emotionally and physically drained leaving little desire to achieve that dream!
So, you ask, how do I keep the motivation to persevere?
First, you must believe that your goal is worthy of the effort! You may get side-tracked and accomplish other unrelated goals, but don’t give up on your dream! You may have to readjust your focus and plan a new strategy to reach them. After all, life sometimes has a way of derailing even the best laid plans. Next, consider who or what motivates you. Look to that source of encouragement to keep you motivated. And, finally include activities in your life that keep you motivated. These may include many forms of exercise, relaxation, and meditation. In conclusion, visualize your dream, select the path to get there, consider what can “get in the way” (many of these are in your control, based on choices you make–try not to let these things happen), adjust as necessary, and go for your dream!
